Getting started

In order to get onto AWS, please ask an already authorized user, such as the current ACM Chair.

Creating an account on behalf of an ACM Member

Visit the AWS IAM service and select "Users", here you will see all current acting users in AWS.

Click "Add users" and select the corresponding settings as shown below

Click "Next" and select the corresponding permission groups you want to add

Create the user and once that's done you will be given their username, sign-on link, and password.

Download the CSV file and send it to the new member. Once they log in for the first time, they will be prompted to generate a new password to their liking.
